Reis Jorge – Em Actualização
Ferragudo Boat Trips offer fun and informative trips on the Reis Jorge, a traditional Algarve fishing boat converted for tourism. We take a maximum of nine passengers and offer both sea cave trips and inland Algarve river trips to Silves, Estombar and around Portimão harbour. All boat trips depart from the quayside in Ferragudo, find us by the lifeboat station at the end of the quay.

All our guests have a great time, whether you cruise up river for a few hours or head out to sea we will do our best to make sure you have the best possible experience. We love children and under twelves go half price. On-board drinks are free. Charters for private groups are available.

I grew up with my feet in the waters of the Arade and I have been a fisherman in Ferragudo since I was a boy.
It makes me so happy that today I can share the place I know and love with so many new friends on board the Reis Jorge. I look forward to meeting you.
Boat Trip to Silves
Scenic Cruise on the Arade river
Silves is a beautiful and historic city, it is one of the Algarve's most popular trip destinations. What better way to visit it than arriving at the quayside on the traditional wooden Reis Jorge after a lesurely and informative trip up river? On the way you will see the Portimão harbour area then the abundant flora and fauna of the inland Algarve.
4hr trip with 1hr visit to the historic Algarve capital Silves
Silves has plenty to see and do in the time you will be there. You can climb through narrow streets and visit the ancient moorish castle and the splendid cathedral or take in the interesting small museum. Alternatively disembarque and cross the road for a tasty cheap lunch before you head back to Ferragudo.

Algarve Cave Trips
Boat trip along the coast to Carvoeiro
The stunning Algarve coast is a must see for all visitors. Take a boat trip on the Reis Jorge from Ferragudo heading East all the way to Carvoeiro past spectacular rock formations and cliffs.
Enter spectacular grottos and caves in the boat
Conditions permitting the boat will take you inside sea caves to give you the best possible experience. You will see the Algarve birdlife in its natural habitat. It is superb fun for all the family and there are great photo opportunities. Your refreshments are free.

Harbour Trips, Portimão Arade Estuary
Short 1 hour trip around Portimão harbour
Join Luis for an interesting tour around the Arade estuary. See Ferragudo's castle and spectacular beaches from the water. A perfect hour long trip for all the family. Limited refreshments are available on board.
Excelent photo opportunities
A great opportunity to take some photos of Ferragudo & Portimão from a different perspective. Sail past the award-winning Museum in Portimão and get a glimpse of the history of the sardine industry. Another close up look at the local fishing industry is to be had as we sail up into Portimão commercial fishing dock.

Boat Trip to Estombar, Algarve
Explore the Arade estuary
Departing from Ferragudo quayside on the Reis Jorge, this boat trip will take you on a tour of Portimão harbour, showing you points of local historical interest. You will then head up the Arade river to Sítio das Fontes, Estombar, passing Algarve birdlife and nature.
Sítio das Fontes, Nature Park
Disembark at Sítio das Fontes, a nature park around natural springs which were used by the Romans. Visit the old water mill and swim in the natural springwater pool. This is a perfect non exhaustive trip for family groups. Your onboard drinks are free.
